Three decades. Five states. One standard.
Intermountain Testing Services has been the Intermountain West's trusted construction materials testing and special inspection partner since 1991 — independent, certified, and on-site when it counts.
Built on the principle that a number is only as good as the technician behind it.
IMT was founded in Roy, Utah in 1991 with a single proposition: that small-town accountability belonged on the largest projects in the region. Three decades later, we've grown into one of the most trusted independent testing agencies in the Intermountain West — with crews on UDOT corridors, FAA-funded runways, mining pads, and tilt-up campuses across five states.
What hasn't changed is the standard. Every technician is certified. Every test is traceable. Every report is signed. We refuse to sub out work to crews we don't train, and we refuse to soften results to keep a contract. That refusal is why our clients keep calling — and why our inspectors are welcome on their next project.
Today the company runs an AASHTO-accredited laboratory, holds active certifications across ASTM D-3740, C-1077, D-3666, ICC, UDOT Superpave, and FAA — and dispatches certified field technicians from a single Roy, Utah headquarters that knows the dirt around here personally.

What we hold ourselves to.
We work for the project — not the GC, not the EOR, not the owner. The data goes where the truth points.
Same-day reports. Certified signatures. Inspectors who answer the phone at 6 AM and show up on time.
Three decades of experience packed into every cylinder cast, every density read, every weld inspected.
Certified hands. Real-world experience.
Every IMT technician carries the credentials that matter. We invest in continuous training, professional development, and pay for certifications because credentialed work is the only work we ship.
Five states. One regional team.
Headquartered in Roy, Utah and dispatched daily across UT, WY, ID, NV, and CO.
